From the Chair of the Board of Directors

Developing human capital is not solely the responsibility of organized government. It is also an interactive exercise among individuals that can directly lead to building up trust and thereby bring about positive social changes. Haiti Lumiere de Demain (HLD) is totally committed to developing human capital in Haiti through education. HLD strongly believes that education is the greatest equalizer. For the past six years, HLD in its efforts to ensure that every child receive the proper education, has successfully put together a solid support network to leverage the necessary resources. The annual textbooks drive, the teachers training program, and the strong and trusting partnership with all the other stakeholders have all helped to create a more favorable scholastic environment for the children of La Gonave.

On behalf of children of Haiti and especially the children of La Gonave, we thank you all for your generosity. Your donations in kindness, time and money have been a critical element in bringing about positive changes in the lives of hundreds of the most promising candidates of any society, the children.
